In the video, Anne talks about being as faithful as possible to the original manga’s story in bringing it to the screens as a live action production. She also comments on the various oriental designs she was able to wear due to Yoko’s taste in clothing.
Premiering on February 24th, the eight-episode series will air on the Japanese premium station WOWOW and stars actress Anne as Yuko Ichihara and Shota Sometani as Kimihiro Watanuki. As a witch who grants wishes in exchange for something valuable and precious from the client, Yuko runs into Watanuki who has a unique problem. He possesses the ability to see spirits around him and is constantly tormented by them. Yuko makes a deal with him, she’ll get rid of the spirits if he helps run her shop where he grants the wishes of many patrons.
The show also stars Masahiro Higashide, Karen Miyazaki, Naoto Takenaka, and Yumi Adachi and is directed by Keisuke Toyoshima. Shikao Suga, who sang the theme song for the anime, will be performing again for the live-action theme.
